About Lossiemouth
Lossiemouth is sometimes known as the riviera of the North, with two spectacular sandy beaches, flanking the harbour and one of the mildest, sunniest and driest climates in the country. The West beach is dominated by Covesea lighthouse and the Moray golf course runs alongside. The East beach sits at the mouth of the river Lossie and is reached by the new footbridge. Along the front you'll find bars, restuarants, ice cream parlours and a range of shops. Further into the town, you'll find a small supermarket, butchers, bakers, newsagents and a number of takeaways. If you require a bit more, Elgin is only 5 miles away, with all the facilities of a large town.
The town's population has grown to around 7,000 partially due to the growth of RAF Lossiemouth but also because it's a great place to live.
